Make the Smart Choice

  • 2000+ NOVA students are active-duty or have served in the armed forces.

  • NOVA’s Office of Military and Veterans Services (OMVS) will serve as your liaison with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Programs to Prepare You for Civilian Life

Use your specialized training to study a career in IT or Engineering. Or go in a completely different direction as a civilian. The choice is yours!

How to Get Started

  1. Speak to an advisor at the Office of Military and Veterans Services (OMVS).

  2. Browse for classes you want to study at NOVA.

  3. Enroll for classes during the upcoming semester.

  4. Apply for Veterans Administration Educational Benefits, including VA Form 22-1990.

  5. Commit to a pathway: transfer, career & technical, or continuing ed. Of course, you can remain undecided until you are ready to decide.
