NOVA understands that our military service members have sacrificed more than the average student. That’s why we want to make your transition to college life as easy as possible.
The Office of Military and Veterans Services (OMVS) provides resources to active-duty servicemembers and veterans enrolled at NOVA.
The OMVS can act as a liaison with the Department of Veterans Affairs, to ease your transition into higher education. We thank you for your service, and will do our part to help you be successful as a civilian.
Active Duty – Not a Problem
If you’re currently enlisted in the armed forces, you can still enroll at NOVA and begin your academic journey. The Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC) was established to help active duty personnel complete their education, even though new assignments and deployments may be necessary.
As a veteran, you may be eligible for additional benefits to further your pursuit of a degree. Our Vet Success Advisors can guide you through the process, and the best options – like, for example, the Post-9/11 GI Bill. We recommend that you contact an Advisor right away so that we can help get you started.
