Radiography, A.A.S.

Radiographers change – and save – lives. Diagnosing illness is hard, and many patients can’t describe their physical pain. But a trained technologist can take the first step by assisting doctors with X-rays, CTs, MRIs, and more.

NOVA’s A.A.S. in Radiography is a competitive program. Radiography requires a gentle bedside manner, so students are expected to be of high character as well as high intellect. Prospective students must attend a mandatory workshop prior to application.

Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take the national certification test as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (A.S., R.T. (R)).

Make the Smart Choice

  • Transfer is not the primary goal of an A.A.S. degree, but transfer resources are available for students interested in applying to senior institutions.

  • The Radiography program emphasizes hands-on training at NOVA’s Medical Education Campus.
