NOVA has it all: clubs, organizations, lectures, theater, music, sports, student government. Don’t miss out on these great opportunities.
A Well-Rounded College Experience
Extraordinary Extracurriculars
This is what college life is supposed to look like. Students gather in common areas to exchange ideas and knowledge, express themselves and have fun. NOVA campuses are connected to surrounding communities, as many students volunteer time to help their neighbors. Athletic fields are full of activity, with both intramural and intercollegiate teams. Less formal wellness programs keep students’ minds and bodies healthy. NOVA isn’t just a place to study; it’s a community.

Making the switch to NOVA was one of my best decisions. The smaller environment really helped me to figure out what I needed to do without feeling overwhelmed.

Volunteer Opportunities
NOVA students don’t just study on our campuses. They are also citizens of Northern Virginia. And in that spirit, we believe in giving back to the surrounding communities. Student organizations must perform at least 15 hours of service each semester. Make the most of your time at NOVA, by donating some of it to those in need.
Here are just a few of the activities our students have coordinated:
- Nursing home visits

- Blood drives
- Food drives
